I started to play Disc Golf in the fall of 2014 and took a break from it in December of 2017. In March of 2019 I returned to the sport but only played a few rounds until that fall. In Sept of 2019 I really started to get back in to it playing regularly. 2020 was a break out year me where I focused on improving my game and playing as much as I could. I managed to log 100 rounds that year and could see a solid improvement in my game. In April of 2020 I received a practice basket for my birthday and started to practice putting at home. I can’t stress how much of a difference this made on the course towards lowering my scores.
2021 started off strong with mild January conditions, but then February weather hit and ground things to a halt. I played my 1st tournament of the year on Feb. 20th at Cove Valley DGC in sub-freezing temps and lots of snow on the ground. Despite the adverse conditions, I managed to score my highest rated tournament round to date. I’ve got 5 more tournaments scheduled for this year as well as resuming my role as League Director with the 717 Flying Disc Club for this season. Here’s hoping for continued improvement in 2021.
